Day 1: Arrive Halifax, Nova Scotia
Today, board your flight bound for Canada’s Atlantic Coast. Upon arrival in Halifax, meet your Tour Director and transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay. Enjoy a beer and wine reception before our Welcome Dinner.

Day 2: Halifax Sightseeing
Today, enjoy a Halifax City Tour featuring Bedford Basin, the Public Gardens,St. Mary’s University, Point Pleasant Park, and the Citadel, a large star-shaped masonry fort built to protect the city. Tour the Titanic Experience/Artifacts at the Maritime Museum and talk with a Titanic expert.
This afternoon, visit a Nova Scotia highlight, Peggy’s Cove, famous for its rock shore and lighthouse.

Day 3: Halifax – Baddeck
This morning travel to Cape Breton Island. Enjoy a scenic drive around Bras D’or Lake to the lakeside resort town of Baddeck. This afternoon visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Museum to view many of Bell’s artifacts, inventions and personal mementos. Later check into your hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 4: Cabot Trail
Enjoy a journey along the famous Cabot Trail explored by Englishman John Cabot in the late 15th century. The Cabot Trail is one of the most spectacular highways in North America. Along the way stop in the seafaring town of Margaree Harbor and visit the scenic city of Cheticamp, known for its hook rugs. Then, follow the trail to Cape Breton Highlands National Park, where deep-walled canyons, sandy beaches and majestic cliffs are found. Return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 5: Travel to Charlottetown, PEI
Depart Cape Breton crossing the Canso Strait. Later board a ferry and travel to Prince Edward Island (PEI). Enroute cross the Northumbreland Strait, which separates Nova Scotia and New Brunswick from Prince Edward Island. This area features some of the warmest waters of the North Atlantic.
Arrive in Charlottetown for a two-night stay. Tonight, enjoy a Lobster Dinner with your fellow travelers.

Day 6: Prince Edward Island Sightseeing
Today, enjoy a Prince Edward Island Tour. Visit the College of Piping to learn about traditional Celtic music. Enjoy a bagpipe Experience and a chance to play them.
Later, travel through Prince Edward Island National Park with its varied landscapes and wildlife along the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Visit Cavendish to tour the Green Gables Farmhouse & Museum, the setting of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s popular novel, Anne of Green Gables. Special tour and talk of the house with tea and cookies. And a carriage ride in Cavendish.

Day 7: Charlottetown, PEI – Western Shore, NS
Today’s scenic drive begins as you depart Prince Edward Island and cross the Confederation Bridge into New Brunswick. The scenery unfolds as you make your way through New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. This afternoon, arrive at the Oak Island Resort situated on Nova Scotia’s Western Shore near Mahone Bay. Enjoy another two-night stay.

Day 8: Grand Pre – Bay of Fundy – Lunenburg
Start your day with a visit to the Grand Pré National Historical Site to learn about Acadian history and culture. Acadian exiles were the forefathers of Louisiana’s Cajun people.
Then, visit Hall’s Harbour, an authentic fishing village famous for 45-foot tides due to its location on the Bay of Fundy. Later, visit the scenic seafaring town of Lunenburg with a colorful waterfront, narrow streets and captivating architecture. The Old Town was bestowed the honor as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1995. Tour and talk with a local waterfront Historian & guide.
Tonight, join your Tour Director and fellow travelers for a Farewell Dinner.

Day 9: Transfer to Halifax Airport – Flight Home
Today, transfer to the airport in Halifax for your flight home filled with wonderful memories of your Nova Scotia & the Canadian Maritimes Tour.
